YMN readers,
We at YMN have been working hard to organize an exciting array of events
at the upcoming Joint Meetings in DC. We hope you'll join us yourself
and that you'll forward this message to interested friends who will be
coming to DC. The complete list of our events appears below.
If you've been checking our community blog (www.youngmath.net
<http://www.youngmath.net/> ), you've seen a rash of great posts lately
about the job market and other issues. We've invited a handful of
people to blog about their experiences, and their posts are generating
some good discussion. There will be more about this after the Meetings,
but for now take a moment to check out:
jobhunter08, searching for a new job, writing about that experience:
concerns.youngmath.net/user/jobhunter08/stories
nowhiring, a faculty member on a search committee, writing about her/his
experiences on that side of the table:
concerns.youngmath.net/user/nowhiring/stories
rtalbert, author of the popular math blog Casting Out Nines, writing
about a whole host of issues:
concerns.youngmath.net/user/rtalbert/stories
Please remember that if you want to join the conversation by posting
comments or your own stories (and we hope you do!) you have to sign up
for an account.
